IMT Helps Fund Development of New Garner Playground

April 22, 2015

GARNER, Iowa (April 22, 2015) – Iowa Mold Tooling Co., Inc. (IMT), an Oshkosh Corporation company (NYSE:OSK), is pleased to announce support for the city of Garner through a $12,000 donation toward playground equipment in new Reichardt Park. The donation was pledged through the city’s Vision Committee, which works to improve the quality of life for Garner residents through public works projects.

On April 14, 2015, IMT General Manager Jim Hasty, Director of Finance Amy Brownlee and Senior Human Resources Manager Bill O’Leary presented the donation check to Garner Mayor Ken Mick, Parks & Recreation Director Sarah Swanson and City Council member Deb Schmidt. Installation of the playground equipment is expected to start in late spring or early summer.

“IMT is proud to call Garner our home, and we feel it’s important to support initiatives that provide long-term benefits for our community,” Hasty said. “We’re pleased that our donation will be used to help provide an enjoyable place for children and families to spend time together.”

The city’s Vision Committee has been working on the park project with the Garner Parks & Recreation department. The collaboration worked to choose the location of the playground equipment, and ultimately decided on Reichardt Park. Located in the southeast corner of town, the park is housed within a large residential area.
