New IMT 6000 Series Crane Selected as a Construction Equipment Top 100 New Product

December 17, 2020

The new IMT® 6000 series hydraulic telescopic crane, launched at CONEXPO this past March, was recently selected as a Construction Equipment Magazine Top 100 New Product of 2020.

“We’re honored to have the new 6000 series crane be recognized in this way. The innovative product enhancements we’ve made to the 6000 series crane is a testament to IMT’s commitment to providing our customers the options they need to meet their field service needs,” said Justin Anderson, IMT marketing representative.

Designed to reduce weight and offer the ability to carry more payload without sacrificing performance, the new 6000 series crane is 30 percent lighter than before. Developed based on voice of customer feedback, the redesigned crane lifts a maximum of 6,000 lbs., and features corrosion-resistant components to mitigate rust. A newly redesigned boom tip offers outstanding precision and maneuverability.

The 6000 series crane was built to mount on a newly enhanced IMT Dominator® I service truck. The new Dominator package comes with payload increasing options such as a compact, lightweight work bench bumper and a redesigned lightweight modular bolt bin offering. It’s also available with the new CAS40PL air compressor. The new compressor features an aluminum canopy, which reduces its weight more than 40 percent over the previous model.

“We aren’t interested in innovation for innovation’s sake, so we looked for ways to save on weight while also adding value to the overall integrity of our mechanics truck packages,” says Anderson. “Incorporating a new boom tip design and corrosion resistant materials while also lowering the weight by 30 percent increases the operator’s efficiency while decreasing downtime in the field.”
